Tominaga Sei
Tominaga "Tommy" Sei (nickname Mountant Rose) is a support character in Audition's KP The Series. She is based on GO forum member bonghongxunui
Character description[]
Sei is a white girl with curly brown hair. She wears a pink-grey colored long shirt with long jean and Jetstyle Couple Shoes. She often walks around with a giant teddy bear behind her back or with a Butterfly Guitar.
Characteristics[]
Sei is the Ramna 1/2 in Vice City and she is a close friend of Step and Kazu. She is somewhat different because of her unspecific gender. Born as a guy, Tommy lived his way properly until he turned 18, when his girlfriend dumped him ‘cause she dislike guitar mode and thought that “it is not for girls”. Getting over his sorrow, Tommy decides to revenge by restarting his career as a girl - with the help from Zinky, a new female guitarist appears, Sei. Only his close friends know this secret, because Tommy still appears frequently in tournament and parties, and Sei also appears in all-girls shows too - it's said that he lives two different life at once. Nevertheless, Tommy/Sei is a good guy/girl, always there to help out his/her friends whenever they need him/her. he is quite good in Guitar, behind only Step and slightly above Kazuki, and he masters many foreign languages including Japan.
Because of Sei being his main character, Tommy rarely appear in male outfit, and his friend simply treats him like a boy or a girl accordingly.
Role in Story[]
Sei makes her first appearance in Chapter 24, receiving a cut from the translation job she did with Ron in the last chapter. Later on, she wants to sell it and asks for Ron's help, which Ron in turn forward to Dan. The deal went on properly but someone snitched on Dan for breaking the new rule, subsequently got him fired as Sei noticed that Dan threw away his police notebook.
Much later on, after Ron tripped himself in another debt, Sei attempts to raise a community fund to help paying it off for him - Kim worries that everyone might have the wrong idea, but Sei assures her that she will handle this well. The fund did get sabotaged later on, but Sei managed to convince people that Ron is innocent, so it continues on until Ron got the money to pay off his debt.
Sei remains behind the scene from then on, occasionally crosses path with Kim and Ron and have common conversation once in a while
Trivia[]
- Like Norid, Sei's owner, bonghongxunui, is a guy but plays a girl role in Audition. However, he has both girl and boy character, so RonBWL choose to make Sei dual characters.
- Sei's nickname is based on her owner's screen name on GO Forum (bonghongxunui), although it's not clear if this was the right meaning. In Vietnamese, bonghongxunui could mean both Mountant Rose (Bông Hồng Xứ Núi) or Mountant Beauty (Bóng Hồng Xứ Núi). Given bonghongxunui's personality, the former translation is more likely.
